The Leonberg, this love of “giant” easy going…
It is the kindness by excellence ; in it you will not find any aggressive tendency. This giant dog, very attached to his owner, will forgive his absence, expresses his love by moving around as if it is a party… The owner will dispense « kisses » waited by the animal. And ordinary so quiet, he jumps, turns around and around, barks. But he moves less than little dogs or than his cousins St Bernard and Newfoundland.
Very sociable
among humans as with the others dogs, he is also a nanny in power with children
of the house, as with those he doesn’t know. Very clean, very quiet, always lay
where he will be able to supervise his universe, and you will have to step over
him because he will not move. Of course a minimal dog training is compulsory ;
but it will be easier because the animal has a good temper and also because we
will never use any brutality.
This giant easy going is surprising by his intelligence and the way he adapts
easily.
